Telecommunications Designer - Calgary, AB
Position:
Hinz - A Rockwell Automation Company, is an international engineering company focused on design and service of industrial controls and power systems supplying engineering expertise world wide. Since our inception over thirty years ago, we have become an industry leader providing innovative 21st century technologies and engineering solutions to multiple sectors including Oil and Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, Water and Wastewater Management and Food and Beverage.
We currently have an opportunity for an Engineer/Designer/Architect for developing integrated communications systems. Preference will be given to individuals who posses experience with most of the telecom technologies mentioned below.
System Experience:
- UHF/VHF system design
- Microwave
- Telephony - PABX, VoIP
- Public Address / General Alarm
- VSAT
- TCP/IP network design
- CCTV Monitoring
Position skills and qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications/Engineering with 3 to 5 years related work experience
- Ability to lead and participate on project teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Hazardous area knowledge
- Offshore platform communications experience
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead designer and/or team contributor
- Standards development
- Systems design
- Systems integration
- Equipment panel design/overview
- International travel required
