Intermediate Control Systems Engineer/Technologist - Calgary, AB

Position:

We are looking for Intermediate Engineers and Technologists with 5 or more years of Control Systems experience. As a valuable team member you would be expected to develop, maintain and troubleshoot a wide variety of control systems involving multiple languages and databases. You must be able to work with minimum supervision, however, recognizing and utilizing the abilities and resources at hand within other team members.

You will be jointly developing industrial software for PLC/HMI for primarily Oil and Gas clients. You must be comfortable with basic hardware troubleshooting and PC networking as required in real-time environments.

Requirements:

Degree/diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 5+ years experience in real-time control systems programming. Should be fluent in Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.

Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC-5/ControlLogix, Modicon 984/Quantum, GE 90/70, 90/30 is essential. HMI development experience in one or more of the following applications is required: RSView, Wonderware, Cimplicity, iFix, FactoryLink. Strong command of English Language both written and verbal a must. Willingness to travel within Alberta approximately 25% of the time.

Working knowledge of VB, Access and SQL Server would be a definite asset. Experience in Alberta Oil and Gas applications will be considered first.
